On Tuesday 26 September, WBCSD will launch the Reporting Exchange at the London Stock Exchange. This follows three years of development by WBCSD, Climate Disclosure Standards Board and Ecodesk, as we researched corporate reporting across 60 countries. Our research showed that the past 25 years have seen a ten-fold increase in the number of corporate reporting requirements on environmental, social and governance issues. Through our new, free online platform, you can navigate these requirements and find guidance on what, where and how to report.

As world leaders gathered for the UN General Assembly and Climate Week in New York this week, WBCSD coordinated and contributed to several high-level events for the food and land-use sector. This included the launch on 20 September of the Champions 12.3 Group Progress Report, which detailed a historic window of opportunity to address the food loss and waste challenge. A new global initiative by the Global Agri-Business Alliance (GAA) was also announced, committing major international food producers to halve their food and agricultural losses by 2030, a target aligned with Sustainable Development Goal Target 12.3.

The Earth Security Report 2017 was launched earlier this week, providing valuable insight for global business on how to align long-term growth with the SDGs. The report also makes a series of recommendations to business, financial institutions and policy-makers on how to spur sustainable growth. Endorsed by WBCSD, the report underlines the need for businesses to align the impact of their operations to the needs of the societies in which they operate.
