Catalyzing corporate action to transform mobility in Lisbon
WBCSD joined forces with leading companies and the City of Lisbon, to launch the first-ever Corporate Mobility Pact (CMP). Under WBCSD’s initiative and with leading companies Arcadis, BNP Paribas, Brisa, Carris, Deloitte, Eaton, EDP, EMEL, and Nissan Portugal, as well as the BCSD Portugal and the City of Lisbon, the CMP provides a platform for public-private collaboration. First-ever TCFD Summit to accelerate progress on climate-related financial disclosures
At the invitation of the Prime Minister of Japan and the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), WBCSD and the TCFD Consortium of Japan convened the first-ever TCFD Summit in Tokyo on 8 October 2019. The Summit gathered over 300 attendees with a view to taking stock of the implementation of the TCFD recommendations and exploring and advancing emerging best practice in climate related financial disclosure. A new city-business alliance for climate action
WBCSD joined forces with C40 Cities and CDP at the C40 World Mayors Summit in Copenhagen, to launch the City-Business Climate Alliance (CBCA). This Alliance provides a model for how city governments and businesses can break down barriers to cooperation and collaboration. It connects cities and business to a global network of successful city-business partnerships, enabling peer-to-peer learning, and it supports cities at the local level to set-up new partnerships.
